Mickey Mantle (Major Leagues: 1951-1968)
New York baseball legend Mickey Mantle is the type of player any baseball fan would love to be part of their team in any era. “The Mick” is arguably the greatest switch hitter ever, his OPS is 11th-best all-time, and he has the seventh-best OPS+ ever. With 536 home runs, Mantle ranks 18th in that category and he’s tied for first on the most walk-off home runs. However, in October, Mantle shows that he is truly different, as the Yankee icon holds the records for RBIs, home runs, walks and total bases in World Series history.

Manny Ramirez (Major Leagues: 1993-2011)
Few right-handed batters were comparable with Manny Ramirez and he is second to Barry Bonds when it comes to career OPS since the Expansion Era. The career slugging percentage of Ramirez is the eighth-best in history, and he is in the top 20 when it comes to home runs and RBIs. His at-bats per home run rate are 11th-best all-time, even ranking ahead of Mickey Mantle’s. Ramirez’s production was almost unmatched in the playoffs as he racked up both the third-most career hits and the most career home runs in the playoffs. His accomplishments are a bit overshadowed by his violations of the performance-enhancing drug policies of baseball, but no one can argue with his versatility as a hitter.
