Jimmie Foxx (Major Leagues: 1925-1945)
“Double X” was arguably one of the most feared power hitters in his era. Behind Ruth, Foxx was the second player to ever hit 500 career home runs, reaching that milestone when he was 32 years old. His 534 career home runs rank him 19th in history and his 1,922 RBIs are 10th-best all-time. He also maintained a career batting average of .325 and he earned a Triple Crown, something Ruth never accomplished. Foxx has the fourth-best slugging percentage and fifth-best OPS among all the players in MLB history.

Mike Trout (Major Leagues: 2011-2018)
Mike Trout hasn’t even turned 30 years old yet but he has truly earned his place among baseball’s best hitters. He is already ranked among all-time legends in the league in different stat categories, such as OPS and OPS+, which see the Angels’ slugger in the top nine of all time. His slugging percentage is also the 11th-best in MLB history and he just keeps adding to his already incredible numbers. What’s more, in all the seasons he has been in the American League so far, he’s had the most wins above replacement. If he becomes more successful in the playoffs, Trout’s legend can be expected to grow even more as the years go by.
