Frank Thomas (Major Leagues: 1990-2008)
He isn’t called “The Big Hurt” for nothing. Frank Thomas was among the most feared hitters in baseball history, crushing 521 home runs and becoming a Hall of Famer during his first year of eligibility. That high total ties him with Ted Williams at 20th all-time. Thomas won a batting title and managed to have a career on-base percentage of .419, which is 20th all-time. Thomas ties for fourth all-time in the most sacrifice flies with another legend Hank Aaron.

Tris Speaker (Major Leagues: 1907-1928)
Tris Speaker is one of the best hitters during early years of the MLB. He hasn’t played in over 90 years, but he ranks among the all-time leaders in different major hitting stats. Speaker ranks fifth all-time in hits and he has the most career doubles ever at 792. He was a really reliable hitter and racked up a career batting average of .345, which is sixth all-time. His .428 on-base percentage is 11th-best all-time. If a player’s career numbers hold up for one hundred years, they were definitely a force to reckon with in the batter’s box.
