Shirt Loops

We bet you have noticed those loops on t-shirts and collared shirts before. They have their roots in the Navy. Sailors did not have a lot of closet space in ships, so they used hooks to hang up their shirts. In the ‘60s, college kids did the same thing when they went to the gym. It still comes in pretty handy now.

Colored Toothpaste Squares

At the bottom of the toothpaste tube, you will find a colored block. There is a good chance that it is red, black, blue, or green. These “eye marks” are used in the assembly line to clue in the machines where they are meant to cut or fold the packaging. Without these marks, the tubes would still be connected!
