From the start, Giada definitely already had a passion for cooking. However, when the time came for her to finish high school and decide on the career path she would take, cooking wasn’t her first choice. Despite her heart telling her to choose her love of cooking, Giada made a decision to get a social anthropology degree instead. She matriculated at the University of California, Los Angeles and in 1996, she earned her bachelor’s degree. She may have her BA, but Giada knew that becoming a chef was actually what she wanted all along.
