Ramp Up Your Skincare Routine With This DIY Face Mask

With skincare, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by all the different claims, opinions, and facts we see all over the internet. Not to mention, every person’s skin is different and has different needs that have to be met. However, it’s always a good idea to do a little research and try to figure out what’s best for you. All the same, there are still some ingredients that are great for all skin types. One of those ingredients is none other than aloe vera. The plant is good for a whole lot more than just treating a sunburn. There are plenty of ways to make use of it, but one way to do so is with a face mask. Don’t worry, though, this won’t be some expensive product recommendation. It’s a DIY face mask you can make in minutes for hardly any money! But one question remains – why aloe vera?

Aloe Benefits

The aloe vera plant is composed of anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and moisturizing properties that will leave your skin feeling soft and glowing. Aloe does a great job soothing the skin and irritation, reducing redness in the process. On top of all that, aloe gel contains vitamins A and C which help treat burns, acne, and dry skin. As if all that wasn’t enough, aloe can also help heal wounds and minimize scarring! So, what can you do with this amazing ingredient? We’ve found a fantastic face mask that will soothe your skin and leave you glowing!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 tablespoon almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons aloe vera juice or gel

How To:

Mix the almond milk with the brown sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add about 4 tablespoons of the aloe and mix it all together until it’s blended well. Apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. After that, remove the mask with warm water and a soft towel.
