Greek Yogurt Salad This Ones Going To Be Your Best Friend

What is it about salads that make a table look like a garden ready to be eaten? You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about. A table? A garden? This writer is off his rocker! I can understand why you’d think that, and you can continue to think that, but first let me tell you about a Greek yogurt salad that’ll turn your next picnic, surprise-mother-in-law visit or your neighbor’s piano recital, into a memorable affair!

For The Greek Lovers

I’ve wondered what the Greek gods must have munched on when they were peckish. I’m not sure if this was the dish, but let’s pretend that it was. For a long time I was opposed to the idea of mixing yogurt with herbs… yuck! But now I’m a changed man… yum! Great story, I know. We’ll wait for the sequel, but for now let’s learn how to make a mouthwatering Greek yogurt salad that apparently promises miracles on a mythological level.

The Greek Yogurt Salad Mix

For the perfect combination of sour and salty, this Mediterranean masterpiece is heaven on Earth. All you need is to lather a ‘flatish’ bowl with some plain Greek yogurt and get ready to green it up. Next, in a separate bowl, chop up some cilantro, parsley, spring onion and basil, and dress the edible lawn mix with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and some black pepper.

Sit Up, Dish Up

Finally, you’re just about ready to serve a salad the Hellenes themselves would be jealous of! Drain the dressing from the herbs, and pat them lightly on top of the yogurt. Drizzle a little extra olive oil over it all, and serve it like you’re Steffi Graf at the U.S. Open… not literally, though. And that’s how it’s done! Kali oreksi!
